Decisions

He paused outside her open door, contemplating their future. Her breathing had become even almost peaceful but her appearance betrayed that illusion. She was as pale as moon, the dark circles under her eyes made her elegantly beautiful face seem older than she was. Small droplets of sweat ran down her forehead causing her hair to stick. Her fever was back.
He should have never taken her the way he did. He was a weak fool. He reacted on instinct. Her scent was just so intoxicating. . . her beauty stunned him. Now here she lays, bearing his children as death breathes down her neck. He paced the hall outside. His gaze finding her every time he passed her doorway. Leoun. . . you deserve much better than a failure. And on top of that, an exiled fugitive.
He paused, coming to a conclusion. He would leave. After the babe's were born he would leave. He would spare no expense in giving her the life style she deserved. Though it tore him to think she would be alone and unprotected it was an even worse pain in knowing that he would only cause her suffering. This is what I must do. I am sorry Leoun. . .
